Culinary Herbs & Spices

It is wonderful to have a well stocked kitchen pantry, full of vibrant, aromatic herbs and spices, but that can get expensive to continually restock every 6-12 months.

First solution: generously use your herbs and spices when you are cooking while they are fresh and vibrant.

Second solution: stock your favorite herbs and spices and then make substitutions when necessary.

Keep in mind that substitutions don’t always work perfectly in every dish—or for every remedy. Get to know each herb’s flavor, pairings, and effects on your body to use them wisely and effectively.

Grace before Faith, Unconditional Election

Before the foundation of the world, God chose the elect for salvation solely based on His sovereign will, not on foreseen faith or merit. Romans 9:16—It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort but on God’s mercy.
